OSCE CHAIRMAN-IN-OFFICE: "OSCE PAYS SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE POSITION OF THE AZERBAIJANI COMMUNITY OF NAGORNO KARABAKH"

Ilkka Kanerva, Finland's Foreign Minister and OSCE chairman-in-office,
met with the head of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Karabakh
Nizami Bakhmanov.
The due announcement was made by the press service for Azerbaijan's
Foreign Ministry.
Bakhmanov informed the OSCE chairman of the fact that the
Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict must be settled only in the framework
of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
"Azerbaijan's occupied lands have turned into uncontrolled areas,
where illegal activity is carried out.
The unsettled conflict leads to undesired consequences in the region",
Bakhmanov said.
In turm OSCE chairman Kanerva noted that the Minsk Group aims to settle
the issue peacefully and pay a special attention to the position of
the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Karabakh.
He assured that OSCE will raise efforts for resolution of the conflict
in period of Finland's chairmanship.
