A mourning rally was held in Tsitsernakabert yesterday dedicated to
the victims of the massacre in Sumgait, by Azerbaijani barbarians on
February 28, 1988.
The participants of the rally made a declaration, which is going
to be addressed to the UN Security Council, Minsk Group Co-Chairs,
UN Secretary General, European Parliament and European Union.
"If Turkey has cleaned its state archives, then we must mention
that in case of Sumgait and Baku all the necessary materials are
maintained, which means all the conditions are provided to start
juridical proceeding. We remind you that the conversation is about
terrorism, the crime against humanity. We strongly believe only after
the fair trial of those who organized the massacre in Sumgait and
Baku can we hope that the two nations will find frames of contact,"
the declaration ran.
