LICENSE FOR EXTRACTION OF MINERALS WILL BE GRANTED ON REFERENCE ON PRELIMINARY EXPLORING

The NKR government has proposed amendments to the law on concession
on exploration and extraction of minerals, according to which license
for extraction will be granted on reference on preliminary exploration.
According to the minister of economic development Benik Bakhshiyan,
so far 42 licenses have been granted for extraction of minerals,
and only one has been granted on a document on reserves. The license
was granted to Base Metals. "However, many have no possibility for
complete exploration, therefore we decided to require only a reference
on preliminary exploring."
