Foreign Minister Ilkka Kanerva is not planning a visit to the South
Caucasus yet," OSCE Spokesman Martin Nerisky told a PanARMENIAN.Net
reporter. "Each OSCE Chairman-in-Office pays visits to the key
regions. However, the terms Mr Kanerva's visit have not been determined
yet," he said.
Meanwhile, APA news agency with reference to the Finnish Ministry
of Foreign Affairs reported that "Mr Ilkka Kanerva is going to pay
a call to the South Caucasus in spring 2008."
However, a representative of the Finnish Foreign Ministry told a
PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that she can't confirm information about
the visit.
During a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian in
December 2007, Mr Kanerva said he intends to visit the region in
early 2008.
