Georgia to host joint exercises with U.S. military in summer 2008

A United States European Command delegation has arrived in Georgia to
prepare jointly with local military a plan of the large-scale
Immediate Response 2008 military exercises.
The exercises are planned to be held in Georgia in July 2008, the
Georgian Defense Ministry told Interfax on Friday. Apart from
Georgian and U.S. military, the exercises will also involve forces
from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Turkey.
The delegation of 30 U.S. military will visit the Vaziani military
base and the naval base in Poti.
