EXHIBITION "ARMENIA THROUGH THE EYES OF PHOTOGRAPHERS" OPENS IN LONDON
LONDON, JANUARY 15, NOYAN TAPAN. The opening ceremony of the exhibition
"Armenia through the eyes of photographers" took place at one of the
halls of the House of Commons of the British parliament on January 14.
More than 60 photos presenting Armenia's historical and cultural
monuments, places of interest, as well as remarkable events of the
independence period and the years preceding it (the Spitak earthquake,
the Karabakh movement) and distinctive episodes from the country's
everyday life are on display.
According to the RA MFA Press and Information Department, the
exhibition was organized by the Armenian embassy and the
British-Armenian All-Party Parliamentary Group (BAAPPG). The Armenian
ambassador to the UK Vahe Gabrielian, members of the Armenian community
and British quests were present at the opening ceremony. The exhibition
will last until January 17.
