The only political force which can state before the election campaign
starts that they have won is the National Solidarity Party, stated the
leader of this party Artashes Geghamyan running in the presidential
election on the first day of the election campaign, January 21. He
says over the 11 years since its establishment the political party
has undergone criticism but it still stands, which is serendipity.
In connection with the presidential election, Artashes Geghamyan
rules out supporting Levon Ter-Petrosyan consciously. Besides, he
declined to tell whether he may support or join another opposition
candidate, saying that it is a matter of time. By the way, during
the presentation of his election program Artashes Geghamyan spared a
lot of time for criticizing Levon Ter-Petrosyan and his supporters,
noting this time that the first president states to seek no support
from the outside but holds an interview with the Izvestia. "Only
Armenians wish good to Armenians," Artashes Geghamyan said.
