Aram Harutunyan, chairman of National Concord party and presidential
candidate, will start his regional meetings on February 1, Harutunyan
told a news conference today. In his words, the presentation of
his election program will take place next week. "We have planned
regional visits later so that we can answer to the questions of the
residents. We will visit all regions of the republic," the candidate
said. In the words of A. Harutunyan, he will use all free of charge
broadcast opportunities and will buy some air time. "We will also buy
broadcast of regional TV companies. You can make a speech at Public
TV only for 3 minutes on a certain sum. In the regions you can talk
for 40 minutes on the same amount," Harutunyan explained.
The party leader believes the TV companies provide equal opportunities
to the candidates.
Speaking about his election program provisions, he suggested a
new procedure of voting according to which voters assign scores to
candidates. "It will enable to avoid election fraud," he said. As
an innovation in his election program he mentioned the idea of an
economic parliament. Harutunyan suggests reducing the types of taxes
and bureaucratic obstacles. He also suggests developing respective
anti-monopoly laws.
