RA CEC REGISTERS GAGIK MELIKIAN AS DEPUTY

The RA Central Electoral Commission (CEC), at the July 3 sitting,
registered Gagik Melikian a deputy by the proportional system, from
the electoral roll of the Republican Party of Armenia. The basis of
the decision was the NA protocol on pre-term stopping of the deputy
powers of Hranush Hakobian, who was appointed the Chairwoman of the
State Committee for Contacts with the Diaspora of the RA Foreign
Ministry and the application on self-withdrawal introduced by Lusine
Avetian from the RPA electoral roll.
It should be mentioned that 48-year-old Gagik Melikian was a deputy of
parliament of the previous two convocations, 1999-2003 and 2003-2007,
in 2003-2007 he was also the Secretary of the RPA faction.
