IN THE STATUS OF OBSERVERS

In the rallies organized by L. Ter-Petrosyan, the representatives
of the US Embassy acted as observers. As mentioned yesterday by
Joseph Pennington, Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy, the June
20 rally was estimated as positive since the authorities did not
prevent it from being organized, and the opposition held the event
in a peaceful manner.
