30 HIGH-SCHOOLS WILL WORK SINCE 1 SEPTEMBER

The list of 30 schools which will work as high-schools is already
known. Only pupils of high terms will study in it. Each student,
who has a 9-term leaving certificate can continue his/her study in
high-school since 1 September. 2 of 30 high-schools will work as
industrial schools.
As ministry of Education of RA informs there will be retraining of
pedagogical staff of 30 experimental high-schools. These experimental
high-schools will be 2-year, but in 2009-2010 school years it will
be 3-year.
The aim of high-school is to set up a preferable line direction
including the opportunity of choosing specialty.
High- school is organized as separate educational institution and
can work as a part of a school only with an own building. In the
frames of 'strategical project of creation of high-school system'
about 200 high-schools are planned to establish.
For establishing experimental 30 high-schools more than 2.6mln US
dollars have been assigned from the state budget and in the frames
of World Bank`s 'High-quality Education and Correspondence' credit
project .These schools will be redecorated and furnished with property
and equipment.
