987 ARMENTEL LINES ARE USED BY THIRD PERSONS, INCLUDING INTERNET PROVIDERS

987 ArmenTel lines (Beeline brand) are used by third persons, including
internet providers, the head of the legal service of ArmenTel David
Sandukhchyan said during a press-conference today.
50 applications have been declined due to repair of the telecoms
network.
So, it is not true that ArmenTel refuses to provide lines to physical
or legal entities. Presently, the company is considering 50 more
applications and is going to satisfy them.
Concerning ArmenTel's negotiations with internet providers,
Sandukhchyan said that the negotiations were underway and it was early
yet to say anything about specific results. Naturally, the agreement
to be reached as a result of the talks will stipulate equal rights
and equal obligations for both parties.
Presently, Armentel is drafting a business model of rules of behavior
on the market of internet services and is planning to submit it for
the consideration of the market regulators.
The deadline for preparing the rules is July 10.
To remind, shortly representatives of ArmenTel and a number of internet
providers of Armenia will meet in the office of the Committee on
Regulation of Public Services so as to discuss the present situation
on the internet service market of Armenia.
