THE 3rd ANNUAL ARMENIAN MICROELECTRONICS OLYMPIAD WILL BE HELD IN SEPTEMBER
YEREVAN, JULY 4, ARMENPRESS: The 3rd Armenian Microelectronics
Olympiad will be held this year in September. Representative from the
Synopsys Armenia company told Armenpress that this time the event will
be held within the `Synopsys Week in Armenia' event.
President of Program Committee of Olympiad, Director of Synopsys
Armenia Educational Department, Honorable Scientist of RA, professor
Vazgen Melikyan said everyone who has sufficient knowledge not only in
the sphere of microelectronics and electronic design but also in
programming, mathematic methods and algorithms, are invited to
participate in the Olympiad.
All participants of the Olympiad will obtain participation
certificates, the winner of the first place will receive a notebook,
the winner of the second place will receive 300,000 and the winner of
the third place 150,000 Drams. The participants will also get special
prizes.
Competitors may include students of colleges and higher educational
institutions, as well as specialists from companies engaged in
microelectronics. Competitors may be no older than 30.
The Olympiad will be held in two stages. The first will consist of
a quiz held. The second will consist of a competition in which
participants are given problems requiring detailed solutions.

The main sponsor and organizer of the Olympiad is `Synopsys Armenia'
company. Last year about 130 students and young specialists took part
in Olympiad.-
