Monika Manucharova from Gyumri to represent Armenia at Eurovision

ArmInfo. Monika Manucharova, a pupil of Robert Mkheyan's popular band
from Gyumri, will represent Armenia at the Eurovision Junior 2008 in
Cyprus.
Manucharova's candidacy was determined Friday evening by the jury's
decision and SMS voting among TV viewers of the final concert
transmitted live on the Public Television of Armenia. Initially, 200
applications were submitted for participation in the national selective
stage, however, only 36 songs were admitted to the first selective
stage. As a result, the Expert Council admitted only 10 songs to the
finals.
