Lusine Sahakian, Erwand Varossian and Tigran Safarian, the advocates of
the ex-deputy prosecutor Gagik Jhangirian, and Vahe Ghazarian sentenced
to a 4.5 years' imprisonment for "mass disorders", have lodged
applications with the European Court of Human Rights on breaches of
the rights to freedom and personal immunity (Article 5 of the European
Convention). The advocates will lodge an additional application on
breaches of other articles, freedom of speech, freedom to assemblies
and discrimination, reports the Centre for the Popular Movement.
