Krekorian Announces Unveiling of "Valley Glen"
Exit Signs on the Hollywood Freeway

Glendale, CA - Continuing to promote Valley Glen "as a distinctive
community in the heart of the San Fernando Valley," Assemblymember Paul
Krekorian (D-Burbank) announced that the California Department of
Transportation (CalTrans) has installed signs along the Hollywood
Freeway marking Valley Glen exits. The new signs will be formally
unveiled at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, in Laurel Grove Park at Erwin
St. and Bellingham Ave. in the southern point of the park.

"Valley Glen deserves to be recognized as a special community and
neighborhood," Assemblymember Krekorian said. "I am glad that my office
has worked closely with Valley Glen neighborhood leaders and with Cal
Trans to secure freeway signage that highlights and distinguishes this
vibrant, growing community," he said. Assemblymember Krekorian credited
the Greater Valley Glen Council for its vision and leadership in
pursuing these freeway signs. He also praised CalTrans for its
responsiveness to the Valley Glen community and for installing guard
rails along the Hollywood Freeway and taking the lead in upgrading the
off ramps throughout the San Fernando Valley.

"I hope these new signs will encourage people traveling along the
Hollywood Freeway to explore Valley Glen and enjoy its businesses,
restaurants and ambience," Assemblymember Krekorian said.
