"ARNO BABAJANIAN" INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL TO BE ESTABLISHED
"Arno Babajanian" international music festival will be established in
Armenia. The foundation concert of the festival is to be held on
August 9 in the central square of Tsaghkadzor on the initiative of RA
Ministry of Culture, the Armenian branch of "Arno Babajanian
remembrance international foundation", Municipality of Tsaghkadzor and
"Ovation" producers' center.
According to the Director of the Armenian branch of "Arno Babajanian
remembrance international foundation" Jak Hakobian, basically Armenian
artists will participate in the maiden concert, Armenpress reported.
Composer Edward Mirzoyan called the future festival "a great
happiness, an evidence of the composer's immortality".
"I am happy that by the songs of Arno we will also listen to the songs
of his friends and composers of the same age Constantine Orbelyan,
Alexander Achemian and Khachatur Avetisian. Arno highly qualified
their works as they greatly contributed to the development of Armenian
pop music", he said.
