FORMER AMBASSADOR OF ARMENIA TO CANADA: ACCORDING TO INTERNATIONAL LAW, NAGORNO KARABAKH IS ARMENIA'S TERRITORY DE JURE

Determination of Armenia's borders should be solved based on the
international and not Soviet law, Head of the Scientific-Public
Research Center "Modus Vivendi", former RA Ambassador to Canada
(2000-2006) and former press- secretary of RA Foreign Ministry Ara
Papyan said during today's seminar dedicated to the issue about
Armenia's borders in the context of the international law. He said
that Armenia can solve very serious problems the country faces, in
particular, the issues of national security and blockade, through
specification of borders in line with the international and not the
Soviet law. This will also give new opportunities in solution of
Karabakh problem. Papyan thinks that any inter-state problem should
be solved based on the international law.
