    President Viktor Yushchenko left on a holiday to Crimea in the evening
    on Monday, the presidential press service reported on Tuesday.Yuschenko
    will spend his holiday with his family.

    While in Crimea, the head of state will break his vacation to hold
    a number of working trips and meetings.

    Yushchenko and his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan discussed the
    implementation of the Kerch-Poti-Batumi project in Crimea on Tuesday,
    the presidential press service reported on Tuesday.

    During their tete-a-tete meeting, the heads of state praised the pace
    of bilateral trade that reached $262.86 million in 2007.

    Particular attention was paid to cultural cooperation and satisfying
    the needs of the Ukrainian and Armenian diasporas.

    Yushchenko and Sargsyan also discussed the organization of the Armenian
    president's official visit to Ukraine following the fourth meeting
    of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.

    During his unofficial visit to Ukraine, Sargsyan will participate in
    marking the anniversary of the founding of an Armenian holy site -
    the Surb Khach Monastery.
