HIS HOLINESS ARAM I RECEIVES ARMENIAN BENEFACTOR
RAFFI MANOUKIAN
His Holiness Aram I received the younger son of the late Armenian benefactor
Yeghishe Manoukian, Raffi Manoukian, in Antelias on June 4. Meeting for over
two hours, His Holiness and Mr. Manoukian discussed a number of educational
and cultural projects to be implemented in the Catholicosate of Cilicia,
Bikfaya, Los Angeles and other areas.
Te Pontiff praised Mr. Manoukian for his generous contribution of 260,000
USD for the renewal of the "Siran Manoukian" kindergarten of the "Yeghishe
Manoukian College". Mr. Manoukian expressed his commitment for funding
further projects in the school named after his father.
