The new school in the village of Verin Horatagh has been dedicated. The
reporter of Regnum in Stepanakert reports that the school was built
by Armenia Foundation on the donation of the Armenian community of
Toronto. The school will be named after the deputy speaker of the
House of Lords of the British parliament Caroline Cox who has provided
assistance to Karabakh for many years. The humanitarian mission of
Lady Cox began from the village of Verin Horatagh.

In the ceremony of dedication of the school Baroness Cox said she
first visited Nagorno-Karabakh when its people were fighting for
their freedom and she had to get from Verin Horatagh to the village
of Vank by the path and she is happy that her family can walk along
it at peace. She gave presents to the school.

If we continue at this pace, soon the issue of school building will be
solved, said the minister of education of NKR Vladik Khachatryan. He
underlined the great role of the organizations and individuals
of the Armenian Diaspora who support the NKR government to solve
the problem of schools. The school of Verin Horatagh is the fourth
financed by the Armenian community of Toronto. The construction of
the new school lasted for two years. Earlier water and gas pipelines
were built in different communities of NKR on the assistance of the
Armenian community of Toronto. According to the head of the Armenian
community of Toronto Mkrtich Mkrtichyan, soon the construction of
the school of the village of Spitakshen, Martuni, will start.
