AZERI PARTY FRUSTRATED MONITORING ON ARMENIAN-AZERBAIJANI BORDER

YEREVAN, 04.06.08. DE FACTO. The Azerbaijani party frustrated
monitoring of Armenian-Azerbaijani border, scheduled for June 3
within the frames of the mandate of Andrzey Kasprzyk, OSCE CiO's
Personal Representative. According to the preliminary agreement, the
monitoring was to be held on the sector of border in the vicinity of
the village of Berqaber of the RA Tavoush region.
According to the RA MoD Press Office, the Azeri party did not come
to the meeting motivating it by lack of security guarantees from the
Azerbaijani MFA.
The Armenian party and Ambassador Andrzey Kasprzyk, the OSCE CiO's
Personal Representative, held meetings with the dwellers of the
village of Chinar and then returned to Yerevan.
