    Brighter day for Armenia

    TELEVISION; Pg. 35

SUNRISE co-host Melissa Doyle flies to Armenia this weekend as a World
    Vision ambassador.

She will spend a week in the country visiting institutionalised
children to investigate why poverty-stricken parents give up their
    healthy children.

Armenia is exceptionally cold with temperatures hitting minus 15C in
    winter.

Doyle will hand deliver tens of thousands of knitted scarves, hats and
    jumpers made by Sunrise viewers.

Natalie Barr replaces Doyle for the week.

In other Sunrise news, Channel 7 has set a launch date for host David
Koch's new series Battle of the Choirs.

The series pits choirs, including the Gold Coast's The Blenders, in
competition performing contemporary hits. Viewers will decide the
    winners.
