OKTAY ASADOV: BAKU STANDS FOR SOLVING THE CONFLICT BASED ON PRINCIPLES OF
INTERNATIONAL LAW

Addressing the summit of the Council of the Heads of Parliament
of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, Speaker of the
Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Oktay Asadov declared that unsolved Nagorno
Karabakh conflict presents a threat not only to the South Caucasus,
but also the Black See Region and the world as a whole.
"The unresolved Karabakh conflict hampers the development of our
country and creates a threat to the peace and stability all over
the world," he noted. The Azeri Parliament Speaker declared that
official Baku stands for solving the conflict based on principles of
international law.
In his speech Asadov underlined the necessity for close cooperation
between the countries of the Black See Region and said that cooperation
will increase the role of the region in world politics and economy.
