CHICAGO SILK ROAD OPPORTUNITIES CONFERENCE DEMANDS ARMENIA TO WITHDRAW ITS FORCES FROM AZERBAIJAN

Chicago. Husniyya Hasanova-APA. "The New Silk Road Business
Opportunities", a comprehensive conference focusing on new business,
trade and investment opportunities, organized by the Central Asian
Productivity Research Center and the Pakistan Club, and cosponsored
by the Office of the Commercial Attache, Consulate General of Turkey,
and the Commercial Section, Consul of Pakistan in Chicago, took place
at the Gleacher Center of the University of Chicago Graduate School
of Business.
APA US bureau reports, Honorary Doctor of Nakhchivan State University
Harry Lepinski, Consuls General of Turkey and Pakistan in Chicago
Kenan Ipek and Aman Rashid and Consul General of Azerbaijan Republic
in Los Angeles Elin Suleymanov, as well as representatives of India and
Kazakhstan joined the discussions. Elin Suleymanov said realization of
long-term strategy founded by Heydar Aliyev strengthened Azerbaijan's
role as the most important mediator in the Silk Road project. The
Consul General especially emphasized that Azerbaijan made steps toward
the regional development and was ready for the mutual cooperation with
all countries. The Consul General of Turkey Kenan Ipek underlining
the useful cooperation of the regional countries focused attention
on the Armenia's non-constructive policy. He said Yerevan's policy
led the country to the isolation. The diplomat noted that Turkey and
Azerbaijan were ready for the dialogue with Armenia and demanded the
withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from the occupied territories of
Azerbaijan. Summarizing the conference, Pakistani Commercial Attache
in Chicago Asad Khairuddin spoke about the importance of the Caspian
countries and underlined Azerbaijan among them as the most attractive
country for the foreign investors.
