YEREVAN, JUNE 10, NOYAN TAPAN. Vahagn Movsisian, the Ambassador of
Armenia to the People's Republic of China, died suddenly on June 10,
at the age of 47. Noyan Tapan was informed about it by the RA Foreign
Ministry Press and Information Department.
Vahagn Movsisian was born in 1961. In 1983 he graduated from the
Mechanization Faculty of Yerevan Agricultural Institute. In 1986 he
maintained a candidate thesis and received the degree of candidate of
technical sciences. In 1989-1990 he studied at the High Commercial
School attached to the USSR government, in 1991-1993 at the Russian
Academy of People's Economy. In 1989-1993 he worked in the top links
of ArmRosgazprom, then of the Prometevs company. In 1993-2000 he
worked in the banking system of Armenia. In 2000-2007 he worked as
Executive Director of the Armenian Development Agency, Secretary of
the Council for Assistance to Business under the RA Prime Minister,
Secretary of the Council for Assistance to Development of Information
Technologies under the RA Prime Minister. In 2007 he was appointed
Ambassador of Armenia to the People's Republic of China.
