TEGHUT MINING: WHO EXPLOITS, WHO GUARANTEES?

"If the inhabitants have health problems because of hard metals
exhaustion, our company is ready to take care of their medical
insurance," announced Gagik Arzumanyan the director of ACP Company
in a meeting-discussion on Teghut mining exploitation organized by
the students in Armenian-Russian University.
The students were mainly interested in the guarantees, in particular
about the health hazards, ecological problems of cutting down 357hec
forest, people living near the territory of mining and the future
mothers' health problems.
To those questions the director of the company said that their
guarantees are the best ones which are covered in their project and
which are affirmed. He said if anyone could recommend more accurate
points, he/she was welcome.
G. Arzumanyan presented the package to the students are said that
it has been examined by the experts of the Ministry of Environmental
Protection for two months.
According to G. Arzumanyan the company is intended to create 1700
working places. Besides, the director said that as much of forest is
cut as much will be planted.
