DIASPORA AFFAIRS MINISTRY TO BE ESTABLISHED

The government approved today the draft law on the structure of the
government of the Republic of Armenia which will be presented to the
Armenian parliament.
Governmental press service told Armenpress that the necessity of
approving the law stems from the demands of the 85th Article of
the Constitution and is aimed at establishing the structure of
the government by law. With the draft law the government structure
includes the following ministries: Labor and Social Affairs Ministry
Health Ministry Justice Ministry Emergency Situation Ministry Foreign
Affairs Ministry Nature Protection Ministry Agriculture Ministry
Economy Ministry Energy and Natural Resources Ministry Education and
Science Ministry Culture Ministry Defense Ministry Sport and Youth
Affairs Ministry Diaspora Affairs Ministry Territorial Governance
Ministry Transport and Communication Ministry Urban Ministry Finance
Ministry It is noted that the law will enter into effect from July 1,
2008. The Diaspora Affairs Ministry, according to the document, will
be included in the structure of the government from October 1 2008.
