Relations Between Moscow And Yerevan Are Those "Of Partners And
Allies", Russian President Dmitry Medvedev Said On Tuesday.
The head of the Russian state, at the talks with Armenian President
Serzh Sargsian, suggested that "the broadest spectrum of questions"
be discussed. He hopes that the meeting "will be productive and will
be commensurate with the level of partnership and allied relations
between the Russian Federation and Armenia." Medvedev said he is
prepared to talk about the political, economic, social and cultural
aspects of Interaction.
The Russian president acknowledged he is "very glad" to have a new
meeting with Serzh Sargsian whom he saw in St Petersburg a fortnight
ago. The Armenian president expressed gratitude for the invitation
to Moscow and for a warm welcome given to him here.
Sargsian believes the present meeting will be important for further
development of bilateral relations. "I am sure relations will develop
along in the road of mutual understanding and strategic partnership
in accordance with the spirit and letter of the Treaty of Friendship,
Mutual Assistance and Cooperation and the Declaration of Strategic
Interaction oriented at the 21st century," he said.
