SEYRAN OHANYAN RECEIVED AMBASSADOR OF FRANCE

Today the Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan has received
the Ambassador of France in Armenia Serzh Smesov, reported the
press secretary of the Defense Ministry Seyran Shahsuvaryan. In the
beginning of the meeting the Ambassador has congratulated the Minister
for his appointment.
The Minister has stated that Armenian-French relations are proved by
centuries. He said that the relationship should be strengthened in the
field of peacekeeping activities and continued that the forthcoming
military exercises in September-October implemented in Armenia would
become more worthy and effective if France takes part in it.
The sides have talked about military medical issues and the problems
of studying language. They expressed their attitudes that hopefully
the recent active communication between the countries would result
in signing military cooperation agreement.
