PRESIDENT REMAINED STABLE TO ARMENIAN-TURKISH RELATIONSHIP

The approaches of the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan towards the
relationship of Armenia and Turkey remained stable and unchanged,
said the press secretary of the President Samvel Farmanyan. The
President has talked about the issue in Moscow also when meeting
with the representatives of Armenian Community and Russian Expertise
Society. The announcement in those both meetings expressed the same
approach and ideology.
"A recommendation is made by Turkey to form an expertise committee
which would examine the historic facts of the Genocide. We are not
against any examination as examination does not mean to doubt the
real facts. But the establishment of such committee would be quite
logic if we have set diplomatic relations and have opened borders.
therwise the problem will be prolonged. In 21 century there should
not be any closed borders among neighbor countries."
