Armenian president Serj Sargsyan once more affirmed that in the agenda
of foreign policy there is no provision of becoming a member of NATO.
During the interview given to "Kommersant" newspaper Serj Sargsyan
notified that the authorities of the country have always told and
still tell that there is no provision of becoming a member of NATO in
foreign policy of Armenia."I don`t accept the talks, that Armenia has
never told anything about it. It has been told several times by former
president, Robert Kocharyan and former minister of foreign affairs,
Vardan Oskanyan",- said S. Sargsyan.
According to him, if today Armenia and Russia are member of the same
pact and if there is a military base in Armenia, it is natural that
the membership of NATO will be anti-Russian, because these bases will
be replaced by other. For that, serious reasons are needed which
doesn`t exist. "But only without 'yet', in this case it is not so
good word",-added the president.
The president also noticed that Armenia is going to enlarge the
pact in the frames of cooperation and added: 'I think it will give
necessary experience to our armed forces."
