FOREIGN MINISTER EDWARD NALBANDIAN DISCUSSES NAGORNO-KARABAKH WITH OSCE MINSK GROUP COCHAIRMEN
YEREVAN, JUNE 28, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Foreign Minister Edward
Nalbandian received June 27 the OSCE Minsk Group cochairmen Mathew
Bryza (USA), Bernard Fassier (France), Yuri Merzlyakov (Russia) and
the OSCE chairman-in-office's personal representative, ambassador
Andrzei Kasprzyk.
The press division of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told Armenpress
that during the conversation Minister Nalbandian presented to the
cochairmen Armenia's approaches towards a package of proposals
submitted to Armenia and Azerbaijan in 2007 November in Madrid,
stressing also that the war rhetoric of Azerbaijani leadership is
complicating the process of establishing the atmosphere of trust in
the talks and achieving progress.
The cochairmen presented to Nalbandian the results of their earlier
meetings in Baku with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Foreign
Minister Elmar Mamedyarov, highlighting the absolute necessity of the
peaceful settlement of the conflict.
They assured of their continued efforts to narrow the sides'
positions on the basis of Madrid proposals.
