MOSCOW, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Armenian President Robert Kocharian
congratulated Dmitry Medvedev Monday on his victory in Russia's
presidential election, Russian news agencies reported.
"Armenia highly appreciates the partnership relations between the
two countries and their strategic cooperation in all directions,"
the Armenian leader said in a message.
Kocharian said he is confident that the peoples of the two
countries will strengthen "fraternal ties and partnership and expand
cooperation."
"I would like to mark with satisfaction your major personal
contribution to the development of Armenian-Russian relations, as
well as express confidence that in the office of Russian president
you will contribute to deepening and expanding them," Kocharian said.
Medvedev, 42, won Sunday's vote with a landslide to become the
country's youngest ever president-elect.
