SERZH SARGSIAN: DISORDERS' ORGANIZERS AND INSTIGATORS TO ANSWER BEFORE LAW, HISTORY AND GENERATIONS

YEREVAN, 04.03.08. DE FACTO. In connection with disorders carried out
March 1 in the centre of Yerevan by the supporters of opposition,
the RA acting PM Serzh Sargsian addressed the Armenian nation:
"Dear Compatriots, As a result of the recent events our people have
suffered great losses. We have sustained irreparable losses: there
were casualties both among policemen, who had performed their duty,
and the rally's participants, who had fallen under the influence of
a group of people. Hundreds of civil people suffered from illegal
actions of the radical oppositionists.
The revolutionary leaders of the co-called "movement" made the
protectors of the public law and their own supporters a target for
their grasping goals. The initiators and instigators of the disorders
will answer before the law, history and generations. With pain, I
note that our compatriots became victims of some persons' blind hatred.
Today I share your grief and wish all of you will, courage and strength
to overcome this misfortune".
