It is now necessary to do a pause in the talks on Karabakh until the
    situation in Armenia is resolved.

The due announcement was made by Matthew Bryza, deputy assistant
US Secretary of State, OSCE Minsk Group co-chairman from the United
    States, according to Novosti-Azerbaijan.

"We can continue talks after the situation in Azerbaijan becomes
clear. It is difficult to reach progress in the negotiation process,
until the situation in Armenia is so tense. For Armenia it is important
    to restore democracy", he noted,

Touching upon possible transformation of Kosovo into a precedent for
other conflicts, including for Nagorno Karabakh. M.Bryza added that
each conflicts differs from others and can not set a precedent for
    other conflicts.

"The statement of Armenian president regarding possible recognition of
Karabakh as an independent state owing to Kosovo is just his personal
    opinion", M.Bryza announced.

Asked about the agenda of his visit to Azerbaijan, he added that the
resolution of the Karabakh conflict is the most important issue in
    the US-Azerbaijani relations.

"However, the relations between our countries, are not restricted by
these moments. Therefore during the meeting, we will also discuss
energy projects, in particular NABUCCO, as well as a gas pipeline
from Azerbaijan via Turkey to Greece and Italy, as well as a state
of democracy in Azerbaijan", he announced.
