AZERI ARMED FORCES VIOLATE THE TRUCE

On March 4, at about 5 a.m. the Azeri Armed Forces violated the
cease fire regime and opened fire at the positions of the NKR at the
contact line between the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan
and the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, 3.5 km away from Levonarkh village,
at the northeast of Martakert. Senior Lieutenant of the Defense Army
was wounded as a result of fire, Press Secretary of the Ministry of
Defense, Colonel Seyran Shahsuvaryan informed.
The Azerbaijani forces conquered one of the defense positions of
the NKR Armed Forces. The Armed Forces of NKR opened response fire,
making the rival return to its former positions. There are wounded
and killed from the Azerbaijani side.
On the same day, at about 8 a.m. the exchange of fire became more
intensive.
By about 3:40 p.m. the Armenian forces restored the former
positions. The situation is currently peaceful, there are no shots.
The Defense Minister of Armenia immediately informed the Personal
representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk about
the violation of the cease-fire regime.
The General Staffs of the Armed Forces of the two countries exchanged
information on the accident.
