Yerevan /Mediamax/. Special Representative of NATO Secretary General
in the South Caucasus and the Central Asia Robert Simmons stated that
"we follow the development of events in Armenia with concern".
Mediamax reports that Robert Simmons said this in an interview to
"Echo Moskvi" Radio Station. "We know that [in Armenia] state of
emergency is announced. We all follow the development of events in
that country with concern", Robert Simmons stated.
"Just as Georgia and Azerbaijan, Armenia has Individual Partnership
Action Plan (IPAP) with NATO, we also realize that it is a member
of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). Presence of
IPAP does by no means contradict the membership of Armenia in CSTO
or its status of an ally of Russia", Special representative of NATO
Secretary General stated.
