Yerevan, 10 March: The Nagornyy Karabakh republic [NKR] defence
ministry categorically turned down today the Azerbaijani reports that
Karabakh forces opened fire at settlements in Agdam District on 8-9
March that allegedly left two people dead and two others wounded.
Lt-Col Senor Hasratyan, the head of the NKR defence ministry press
service, told Mediamax today that "Such disinformation from Baku is
apparently aimed at reaching destructive goals." Hasratyan said that
other than isolated cases of truce breach by the Azerbaijani side, the
situation along the contact line of Nagornyy Karabakh and Azerbaijan
can be considered calm.
"The Karabakh forces have full control along the entire border zone
and - if needed- will give an adequate response to any provocative
actions of the Azerbaijani side," he added.
