ARAM I MEETS WITH DIRECTOR OF CATHOLIC PHILANTROPHIC ORGANIZATION

ANTILIAS, MARCH 10, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. On March 5 His
Holiness Aram I, the Catholicos of All Armenians, received Bishop
John Phares, the Deputy Chairman of the International Catholic
Philantrophic Organization, in the Patriarchate of Antilias. The
latter was accompanied by the director general of the Middle East of
the same organization. The meeting of the responsible for this company
implementing great philantrophic work, which has its headquarters in
New York, and His Holiness Patriarch lasted more than an hour.
As they report from the Cathedral of Antilias, the sides discussed
issues concerning the longevity of philantrophic assistances and
especially the reconstruction of the country in the post-war period and
improvement of conditions of life of migrants receving benefits. His
Holiness also touched upon the economic crisis in the country on
this occasion and, in particular, the creation of jobs necessary
for the young in order to stop the emigration of Christians from the
Middle East.
