NEAT AND SMALL CATTLE IN ARMENIA TO UNDERGO COMPLUSORY VACCINATION FROM MARCH 15

YEREVAN, MARCH 12, NOYAN TAPAN. With the aim of creating and
maintaining a stable situation in the veterinary sanitary sector, the
RA ministry of agriculture will implement a program on diagnosis of
diseases of farm animals and epidemiological measures this year. The
head of the ministry's state food safety and veterinary inspection
Grisha Baghian said at the March 12 press conference that 790 mln
drams (about 254.1 mln USD) was allocated from the state budget for
purchase of vaccines, which will be mainly imported from Russia.
According to G. Baghian, the program covers six most dangerous
diseases.
Starting from March 15, neat and small cattle, as well as pigs will
undergo compulsory vaccination. Besides, diagnosis of three diseases
will be done and treatment of bees' diseases will be provided.
