GROSS AGRICULTURAL OUPUT OF ARMENIA GROWS BY 0.2% IN JANUARY 2008 ON SAME MONTH OF LAST YEAR

YEREVAN, MARCH 12, NOYAN TAPAN. The gross agricultural output of
Armenia made 13.7 bln drams (about 44.2 mln USD) in current prices
in January 2008, exceeding by 0.2% the index of the same month of 2007.
The gross output of plant cultivation made 69.2 mln drams, growing
by 2.4% on the same period of 2007, while the gross output of cattle
breeding made 13.7 bln drams (0.2% growth).
Accoridng to the RA National Statistical Service, fishing amounted
to 97.2 mln drams in the country in January 2008, declining by 30.6%
as compared with the same month of 2007.
