YEREVAN, March 14. /ARKA/. The state is obliged to act as guarantor of
mortgage lending for young families under favorable terms, Armenia's
Prime-Minister President-elect Serge Sargsian said.
A provision for each young family to be provided with an opportunity
to obtain a can and housing is incorporated in the government program,
Sargsian said in answering the questions sent through Internet and
received at special telephone numbers.
"The state is obliged to support creation of new jobs with worth
remuneration and to conduct a policy aimed at ensuring accessibility
of credits," the Premier said.
He pointed out that a respected program started to be implemented in
the Yerevan State University in 2007. "I believe that in 2008, if we
manage to stabilize the situation and not to frighten off investors,
certain changes will occur in this field," Sargsian said adding that
five new major banks have entered Armenia's financial market, which
will facilitate better accessibility of credits.
