Armenia's Sargsyan says seeks dialogue with opposition
YEREVAN
Armenia's Prime Minister and President-elect Serzh Sargsyan hopes he
will be able to establish a constructive dialogue with the opposition
led by Levon Ter-Petrosian.
"If Levon Ter-Petrosian [ex-candidate for the presidency] will
continue to reject the Supreme Court's decision [confirming the
legitimacy of Sargsyan's victory in the presidential election] and
regard me as a bandit and a leader of the Mongol-Tatar yoke, I will
treat him adequately," Sargsyan said in a televised interview on
Thursday.
"If he changes his view, I will change mine," the premier said,
adding that he has been meeting with various politicians, including
those in the opposition, since March 2.
"I have held more than 30 meetings with leaders of various political
movements in opposition," Sargsyan said.
