CONSTRUCTION OF ENTERPRISE TO GENERATE ELECTRICITY FROM METHANE TO START AT NUMARASHEN DUMP IN 1-2 YEARS

YEREVAN, MARCH 17, NOYAN TAPAN. There are some shortcomings in the
agreements on construction of an enterprise worth 1.7 million USD for
electricity generation from methane at Nubarashen dump in Yerevan with
financing of Shimitsu corporation (Japan), and these shortcomings are
now being revised, the head of the environmental protection department
of Yerevan mayor's office Avet Martirosian said at the March 17 press
conference. In his words, construction of the enterprise is likely
to start either this or next year.
