RUSSIA PROTECTS OSCE MINSK GROUP ACTIVITIES

The Russian officials said that they hope the OSCE Minsk Group
carrying out the negotiation activities in the regulation of the NKR
question should be kept and protected. It corresponds to Armenia's
as well as to Azerbaijan's international society interest, said the
deputy foreign affairs minister of Russia Grigori Karasin, who is in
a three-day labor visit.
According to him the Minsk group managed to prove its efficiency and
there is no need to change it. "The sides get used to discussing the
questions in a peaceful atmosphere and it should be highly evaluated,"
he said.
As for the delaying the meeting of the presidents of Armenia and
Azerbaijan in Bucharest, he said that he wants to be optimistic. "To
think hypothetically in politics is not so much effective," he said.
