NKR PRESIDENT: ACTIONS OF NKR DEFENSE ARMY AGAIN DISPLAYED HIGH LEVEL OF ITS BATTLE EFFICIENCY

YEREVAN, 20.03.08. DE FACTO. March 19 the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic
President Bako Sahakian visited the 5th defense region and participated
in the ceremony of the servicemen's rewarding.
In the first instance the NKR President visited the Stepanakert
military hospital, where the state's head decorated the NKR Defense
Army major Khachik Tadevossian, injured March 4 in the course
of hostilities provoked by the Azerbaijani party, with a medal
"For Courage", the Central Department of Information under the NKR
President reports.
Then Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the NKR Armed Forces presented
awards to the servicemen of the defense region's army units.
In his speech the state's head expressed his gratitude to the
servicemen for courage they had displayed. The President noted that
the actions of the NKR Defense Army had again displayed a high level
of the NKR Armed Forces' battle efficiency.
According to the NKR President, the circumstance that there are young
servicemen among those rewarded testifies to the fact that the young
generation has been brought up on the high >>> ideas of patriotism.
Bako Sahakian also underscored that the NKR leadership would
go on pursuing policy targeted at raising battle efficiency and
technical equipment of the armed forces. He noted the Nagorno-Karabakh
leadership's spotlight is on the issues referring to the improvement
of servicemen's social conditions.
