In support of the collection of signatures initiated by the co-Chairs
of the Committee on Armenian Issues in the US Congress Frank Palony
and Joe Nolemberg, 39 congressmen supported the idea of increasing
the assistance allocated to Armenia by the United States. The members
of the House of Representatives encourage the sub-group to deprive
Azerbaijan from the military assistance because of their intimidations
to resume war and allocate 5 million dollars' military assistance
to Armenia, to continue the employment of the 907 correction of
the act of the support of Freedom, to allocate 70 million dollars'
economic support to Armenia, 10 million to Nagorno Karabakh, as well
as to resume diplomatic relations with NKR. The congressmen have also
underscored the fact of the encroachments of Azerbaijani armed forces
in the border zone in village Levonarch in Mardakert region in March.
