The American co-chair of the Minsk OSCE group, Mathew Braiza, says
that the date and the place of the new meeting of the presidents of
Azerbaijan and Armenia remain unknown.
According to unconfirmed data, the new round of negotiations of the
presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia dedicated to peaceful resolving
of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflicts may take place in Bucharest in the
framework of NATO summit in early April. Yerevan and Baku announced
their readiness to continue the negotiation process interrupted as
a result of the presidential elections in Armenia in February.
The American intermediary reports that President of Armenia, Robert
Kocharyan, who is finishing his presidential term will not take part
in the summit in Bucharest. President elect Serzh Sarkisyan will be
inaugurated not earlier than on April 9, says Braiza and adds that
it is still unclear when the new meeting of the leaders of the two
countries will take place.
According to the American diplomat, just and continuous resolving
of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict remains one of the main issues on
agenda of the American-Azerbaijani partnership.
