ARMENIAN FOOTBALL CUP 17th TOURNAMENT STARTS

YEREVAN, MARCH 24, NOYAN TAPAN. The Armenian Football Cup 17th
tournament has started. The following results were recorded in the
1/8 final: Mika - Ararat-2 7 to 0, Kilikia - Mika-2 2 to 0, Shirak -
Shengavit 3 to 1, Pyunik - Patani 11 to 2, Ulis - Banants-2 4 to 1,
and Gandzasar - Pyunik-2 3 to 0.
The return games are fixed for March 28 and 29. It should be
mentioned that Banants, the current Armenian cupholder, and Ararat,
a participant of the final, will be involved in the competition from
the quarter final.
